Specific training and the creation of a theatrical language
The second Farm in the Cave´s international workshop this year is meant not only for the interpreters, but also for the directors and creators who want to familiarize themselves with the theatrical language springing up from the cultural legacy outside of literature.

How the elements of expression of a given culture can be changed first into actors´ training and then into the bodily message. The workshop will offer video and audio samples of the study during the basic research, aimed at the selected manifestations of human expression in Brasil, Andalusia and Slovakia, as well as the practical exercises Farm in the Cave´s actors went through during the creation of the performance and which for the „farmers“ became a school of work with the expression. The line body – rhythm – voice.

Limited capacity. Preference will be given to those participants who are already acquainted with the studio´s basic training (workshop „Expression as a Transmittal of Human Experience“).

Workshop of Charlotta Öfverholm for dancers and actors
Prague audiences know the dancer/ choreographer Charlotta Öfverholm from the FESTIVAL FARMA 2007. She will lead a workshop influenced by her history of work and own choreographies.

The first part of the workshop is a warm up that focuses on getting the body/instrument physically warm in a both technical and all round sense. It follows with choreographic phrases. Second part of the workshop focuses more on the inner instrument/ the emotions and how to apply that to your physical body. It will also involve certain improvisation and building a phrase of it all into something that might make sense.
Workshop will be round out with a public presentation on the 9th May 2010 at 8pm under the title Work Demonstration of Charlotta Öfverholm´s workshop. The Swedish dancer/choreographer Charlotta Öfverholm and the workshop participants will meet in this composed evening with the audience who will have the chance to look behind the scenes of the creative work of the artist and her inspiration sources. Last but not least the viewers will have the oportunity to see the project which was born within the fames of Prague workshop.
Charlotta Öfverholm will introduce herself to the Prague audience laso in a preview of her new project Pas de deux sans toi at Preslova 9 on the 10th May at 8pm, to which will have the workshop participants automatically discount.

Musicality in theatre and scenic art in music
In the year 2010, Farm in the Cave studio opens again a series of international workshops - under its leadership and under the leadership of artistic personalities from abroad. After the series of workshops "Expression as a transmittal of human experience", which served as an entry to the basic aspects of actor´s training and the creation of a physical text, each of the Farm in the Cave´s workshops will focus on a specific area.

The workshop will focus on the interpretational and compositional work with music as a material for theatre. How to discover and transform the legacy in the musicality of different cultures and how to proceed from the melody, rhythm, colour of the sound, accent and synchron to the search for the energy of modern dynamics in the holistic expression of the dancer, actor, or performer - the musicality and its perception being the main source of inspiration.
